  • Physical and occupational therapy appointments typically last between 40 to 60 minutes, allowing enough time for a thorough evaluation, targeted interventions, and personalized guidance to address each patient’s specific needs and goals effectively.

  • We are in network with the majority of major payers to include Anthem, United Healthcare, Aetna, Medicare, BCBS and several Medicaid Providers. Feel free to call to inquire about if your insurance is accepted.

  • We offer self-pay options for patients who prefer to handle their therapy expenses independently. For more details on pricing and payment arrangements, please call us.

  • Most patients see their PT and/or OT for one to two sessions per week.  Recommendations will be provided by each therapist based on patient’s goals and findings during the initial evaluation.

  • In Virginia, a doctor’s referral is not required for physical therapy unless you are covered by Medicare. However, a referral is needed for occupational therapy. We can often assist with obtaining any necessary referrals for therapy services.

  • For your physical or occupational therapy appointment, wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows easy movement, such as athletic wear or workout clothes. Additionally, choose supportive footwear if exercises or activities involve standing or walking.

  • Yes! We have a ramp for ease of access to our clinic.

  • During your initial physical or occupational therapy evaluation, you can expect a comprehensive assessment where the therapist will review your medical history, discuss your symptoms and goals, and perform physical tests to evaluate your strength, range of motion, and function. This evaluation helps establish a personalized treatment plan tailored to your needs.

  • To ensure we can accommodate other patients, please provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This helps us manage our schedule effectively and offer timely care to all our patients. Thank you for your understanding.

  • Contrary to popular belief, participating in therapy can often reduce pain both during and after treatment sessions. At Elite, we closely monitor our patients’ responses to therapy and adjust treatments to minimize discomfort. Our goal is to enhance functionality and reduce pain throughout the therapy process.

  • Upon completing therapy, you will receive instructions on continuing your home exercise plan, progressing your exercises, and maintaining a home routine to support your ongoing recovery and achieve the best possible outcomes.
